Are Law and Justice close to ending their boycott of station belonging to TVN, a private television station that they believe is biased towards them and favourable to the present government?
Joanna Kluzik- Rostowska from the right wing Law and Justice PiS, granted an interview to TVN 24, a popular private information channel, whom the party has not ceased to boycott.
"Our party has not made any decision to end the boycott of the station, but we are close to that," replied Klizik- Rostkowska to the question of a Nasz Dziennik journalist, having finished her interview for TVN 24. She added that she was impatiently waiting for the members of her party to make up their mind on the matter.
Joachim Brudzinski, secretary general of the opposition Law and Justice party, did not confirme her colleague's statement, saying that it presumably contained false premises. "I cannot see any changes in TVN 24’s conduct towards us," explained Brudzinski, expressing his discontent with Kluzik Rostkowska's words: "With due respect, it is not her, but the party management to decide on that matter."
The conservative party Law and Justice decided to boycott the liberal TVN – which they refer to as “Tusk’s national Television” - and its branches in July 2008, saying that its journalists were not impartial. (is)
