• Poland needs united front to tackle economy
  • 23.12.2008

Deputy Speaker of the Polish Parliament Krzysztof Putra of Law and Justice has told Polish Radio One this morning that in his opinion Polish citizens will be affected by the global economic crisis to a greater extent than is expected.

According to Putra, in view of that the state’s budget is badly prepared. “One should have thought of greater funds, the budget deficit could have been increased and the planned 3.7 percent of GDP growth is assumed rather exaggeratedly,” said Putra.

Putra called for an all-party co-operation. This, as he believes, will create a better atmosphere for business development and will contribute to the stability of the Polish market.

“We should do our best to increase the demand on the internal market, to create a favourable atmosphere for both the companies and customers,” he said.

Krzysztof Putra announced that the Law and Justice Congress will gather on January 31, when the party is to present concrete solutions for the Polish economy. (jm)
