How will women vote?

26.05.2010

An internet poll on the Women’s Congress official internet site shows quite a differering result to mainstream opinion polls if presidential elections were to be held today.

The two candidates who would go into the second round of voting would be maverick leader of the Democratic Left Alliance, Grzegorz Napieralski (34.1 percent), and Janusz Korwin-Mikke (25.5 percent), a dapper libertarian and leader of Freedom and Legitimacy.

The self-selecting poll, which has been online for a week at the women’s website, gives Bronislaw Komorowski third place (22.8 percent) and Jaroslaw Kaczynski fourth (11 percent).

Today’s Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily runs a story on the poll, which on Tuesday afternoon showed Komorowski firmly in first position, with Napieralski in second.

Although it may give an insight as to how women vote, the internet poll allows for men to vote as well. Up to the minute results from the poll can be found here. (jb)
