• Poles in work-life balance crisis
  • 21.03.2011

Poles cannot find balance between their private and professional life because they work too much, finds a report by consulting company Kelly Services.

As many as 42 percent of Poles sacrifice their private life by working extra hours and taking extra jobs, finds a new survey.

Poles are more hard-working than any other European nation.

Every forth Pole works overtime and almost the same number agrees to work on weekends or evenings.

Every fifth Pole is employed in more than one place, shows the report. Poles are also willing to frequently go on business trips (15 percent) or live away from the family (11 percent) for the sake of having a job.

“Poles are extremely hard-working and they appreciate being employed. They realize that Poland needs to catch up with Western European countries,” comments Agnieszka Walter, head of Kelly Services Polska. (mg)
