French car parts manufacturer Faurecia has announced that it is looking to buy more land in Poland for a sophisticated new plant to create components for Volkswagen.

The French company, which currently runs a complex in Gorzow Wielkopolski, western Poland, intends to invest 10 million euro in the new project.

Faurecia is on the look out for land in the Malgorzata Zieba area, where the new plant will churn out components for the Volkswagen Golf VII.

Construction is die to be completed by the end of 2013.

The news comes in the wake of an announcement three months ago that Faurecia's premises in Gorzow would also be expanded, allowing the group to produce panels and dashboards for the Mercedes Benz S-Class and Volvo. (nh)
