  • 19.04.2011

The government has accepted a motion put forward by the Minister for Labour and Social Policy to increase Poland’s minimum wage to 1,500 zloty gross per month from 2012.

The gross minimum wage currently stands at 1,386 zloty (348 euro), and will go up in line with the forecast increase of the national economy, which stands at 41.4 percent.

The government’s decision on raising the minimum wage will be presented by mid-June to the Socio-Economic Trilateral Committee, which brings together Polish employers and employees for dialogue on the matter. (jb)
