  • 15.01.2009

The Polish Embassy in Spain informed that it had started talks with the management of the Spanish leftist daily “Publico” regarding the correction of its recent content falsely presenting the period of Nazi occupation in Poland.

An advertisement of "The Pianist" by Roman Polanski, presented as a supplement to the daily’s weekend edition included the caption: "A heart-breaking story taking place in the Nazi Poland."

A special explanatory letter by Poland’s ambassador to Spain, Ryszard Schnepf is to be published in “Publico” tomorrow.
