• Avalanches possible...

Tourists are being advised against the possibility of avalanches in the more mountainous areas of the Bieszczdy region in south-east Poland.

Low temperatures and 70cm of frozen snow cover have meant that there is a level two warning out of five. Visibility is good, and higher trekking areas remain open.

Meanwhile in the Tatra mountains there are over three metres of snow on Kasprowy, and tourists are advised against a very high possibility of avalanches in the area.
