It is still not known whether Polish Premier Donald Tusk will meet with the American president Barack Obama during the US-EU summit in Prague on 5th April.

Minister of European Affiars Mikołaj Dowgielewicz has said that the case still remains open whether the two will meet. The Czech presidency of the EU has informed that the plenary session may provide each leader of the EU countries to meet for a moment with the American president.

Mikołaj Dowgielewicz has also stated that the Polish government is not planning to invite the American president for the 20th anniversary celebrations of Poland’s first free elections on 4th June.

Today’s Dziennik daily states that Donald Tusk will be meeting face-to-face with Barack Obama in Prague, also stating that President Lech Kaczyński wants to meet his American counterpart at the NATO summit in Strasbourg and ask him whether the USA is still considering placing an air base in the Baltic town of Redzikowo, where part of the missile shield installation would be placed.
