• Poland immune to crisis?

Polish economy may be the only one in Europe this year to record a rise in GDP – according to The Economist, as cited by the Polish daily Rzeczpospolita.

The Economist Intelligence Unit forecasts that Poland should report a growth of 0.7% - and this would be an excellent result in comparison to other countries in Europe and worldwide.

The best economy, according to the report, belongs to China, with 6% GDP growth, followed by India and Egypt.

The report predicts, that within a year Poland’s GDP growth should boost to 2.2%.

Polish market specialists say this is not surprising, since Poland is not so dependent on exports as e.g Slovakia, the Czech Republic or Hungary, but forecast that reality may not be as good as the predictions.
