Reduction of unemployment and the fight with the results of the economic crisis – these were the main topics discussed during the second social summit organized by president Lech Kaczynski.

Poland’s head of state hosted a group of 50 economists, scientists, representatives of employers and trade unions as well as the government during the meeting.  The summit consisted of  two parts. During the first the current situation on the job market as well as the protection of jobs were discussed. The second part was devoted to the use of EU subsidies as means of offsetting the economic crisis.
