Caritas Polska, Poland’s largest charity organization, has appealed for contributions to help the victims of the earthquake in Italy.

The organization has already donated 25, 000 euros to Caritas Italiana.

According to father Zbigniew Sobolewski, Poles are responding generously to the fund-raising appeal. Donations can be sent in via a special telephone number or directly to the Caritas account.

So far, the total number of dead in the earthquake is 278 but is still growing.
