Polish families living behind Poland's eastern borders are coming to their native land for Easter.

It is the tenth time that such a group event is organized by associations helping the Polish community to the East of the country. The people will spend Easter with families from Lublin, eastern Poland. They are also scheduled to visit Czestochowa, the nation's most popular pilgrimage destination and Warsaw, the capital. Meetings with city authorities as well as with Polish president are also on the agenda of the visit.

It is estimated that, due to different historical turbulence, about 2.5 million people of Polish origin are living on the territories of the former Soviet republics.
