• Easter Beethoven Festival concludes

The 13th Easter Beethoven Festival has concluded in Warsaw with the performance of Handel’s "Brockes Passion". The program of the festival included twenty one concerts and about fifty accompanying events, such as exhibitions, masterclasses and symposia.  The highlights included appearances by the world-famous violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, the Polish baritone Mariusz Kwiecień, the pianist Rudolf Buchbinder and such ensembles as the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Tokyo String Quartet.

The Easter Beethoven Festival was launched in 1997 in Krakow by Elzbieta Penderecka, the wife of the renowned composer Krzysztof Penderecki.
