One hundred and thirty soldiers from the 15th Mechanized Brigade in Gizycko is taking part in a three month joint exercise with a British brigade in preparation for their stabilization mission in Afghanistan.

Eighty troops with heavy equipment left by sea from Gdynia port to Marchwood in the UK already Tuesday night. Their journey is to take 6 days, during which time the Poles will be practicing tactical maneuvers with a landing operation at the end of the sea voyage.
The second group departed Wednesday on board two CASA transport planes from an airfield near Malbork heading for the Brize Norton RAF base.

The joint Polish-British effort is part of the military exercise code-named Druids Dance 2009
