The award is the main prize of the Off Plus camera- the festival of independent cinema which opened in the southern city of Krakow.
Films by independent directors from America and Europe have qualified to take part in the main competition. Among them is one Polish work by Xawery Zulawski entitled 'Polish Russian War'.
The Festival winds up on April 26th , winners of the main competition 'Making Way' will be announced on the last day of the event.
The winner will also receive a grant of one million zlotys from the Polish Film Institute for the production of project to be shot in Poland.
Over one hundred films are to be shown during the festival including the latest works as well as classics of the film industry.
The Off Plus Camera hosts some of the greatest names of the film world , both as members of the jury as well as festival guests.
