The president of India, Pratibha Patil, opens her 4-day visit to Poland today.
She is to visit Warsaw, Krakow, the "Wieliczka" salt mine and the German Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz museum. On the first day of her stay in Poland, Ms President will see the Warsaw Rising Museum.
Tomorrow, on Friday, she will also meet with president Lech Kaczynski, prime minister Donald Tusk and house speaker Bronisław Komorowski. On her agenda for that day is also participation in a Polish-Indian Economic Forum. India is one of the most important South Asian partners for Poland. Last year, our trade exchange reached 1.3 billion dollars.
