Polish police have launched a campaign aimed at educating motorcyclists, featuring the slogan “It’s spring, here come the vegetables”.

From the beginning of March until mid-April 25 motorcyclists have already been killed on Polish roads.

The majority of accidents involving speeding bikers happen between June and August, when weather is good and the roads are dry.

Among the pictures presented within the campaign is one of a small stone lying in the road, captioned “Gravestone?” and another with an old car captioned “If you’re doing 270 kms per hour this Sunday driver has half a second to notice you in his mirror”.

The campaign, which has aroused some controversy, has been joined by Polish media.
