Poland’s Foreign Ministry has yet to confirm information published on the internet site of Pakistan daily “Dawn” that Pakistani Taliban will release the body of the kidnapped Polish engineer, murdered in February.
A Taliban spokesman said that talks had been “98%” completed. According to reports, Pakistan’s government would pay between 125 to 250 thousand dollars for the body of the Polish man.
Piotr Stańczak, an employee of Geofizyka Kraków was abducted in the autumn. In return for his release, his kidnappers demanded the Pakistani authorities to free a number of Taliban members from prison.
On February 7th they announced that the Pole had been beheaded.
