- May 8th celebrates the world day of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent
- 08.05.2009
The Polish Red Cross is the oldest humanitarian organisation in Poland. It has conducted large-scale actions embracing health protection, social help and education. During WWII the Polish Red Cross was one of the few organizations in Poland , which was not delegalised by the Nazi occupant. This year the Polish Red Cross is celebrating its 90th birthday. To commemorate the anniversary 90 oaks are to be planted in memory of the most important Polish Red Cross social workers.
