  • 08.05.2009
Historians together with graphic artist Tomasz Baginski, whose short animation ‘Cathedral’ was nominated to the Oscars, are working on the project. The short film is based on archive pictures of ruined Warsaw, says Piotr Sliwkowski from the Warsaw Rising Museum:‘We wanted to create a time vehicle, taking us to Warsaw of 1945 to show the scale of the destruction of the capital.’he said.
The Museum historians assure that the film will be an authentic picture of the city. The colours , streets and buildings are to be reconstructed  . The film will take the viewer on a tour of the city following the route of the Liberator planes, which carried help to the fighting city.
The Warsaw Rising Museum addresses the film primarily to the young generation, to show what remained of the Polish capital after the fall of the Warsaw Rising. The film is to premiere in 2012
