STUDIO S4/6

One of the best studios specialising in recordings of light music. In 1996 the control room was thoroughly modernised, according to the design by the British firm Recording Architecture. It is a studio section composed of three studios, that enable simultaneous recording of separated instrumental sections. Permanent connection of the control room of this studio to the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio and Studio S2, offers recordings for a large symphony orchestra in multi-track technology, greatly enhancing the options offered by Studio S4/6. The section of Studio S4/6 is equipped with a double-circuit headphone sound monitoring system for performers, and internal closed-circuit television system. The control room of Studio S4/6 is permanently equipped with Beta video recorder, synchronised with multi-track recorder. All premises of S4/6 are air-conditioned.

The studio S4/6 produced records for such bands as Varius Manx, HEY, VOX, IRA, T. Love, Wilki, Republika, De Mono, Bajm, Pod Budą, Maanam, Kwartet Jorgi, and most popular Polish vocalists - Edyta Bartosiewicz, Ewa Bem, Danuta Błażejczak, Jan Borysewicz, Robert Chojnacki, Mirosław Czyżykiewicz, Robert Gawliński, Anna Maria Jopek, Natalia Kukulska, Alicja Majewska, Kasia Nosowska, Stanisław Sojka, Justyna Steczkowska, Grzegorz Turnau, Wanda Warska. It also delivered the record „Perfect symfonicznie” (Perfect Symphonically), as well as the hugely successful record „Duety Ireny Santor” (Irena Santor’s Duos).

Thanks to state-of-the-art equipment and technical potential, Studio S4/6 has been the choice of leading film soundtrack composers: Krzesimir Dębski, Jan A. P. Kaczmarek, Wojciech Kilar, Michał Lorenc, Zbigniew Preisner. Our studio recorded, among other films, for „Ogniem i mieczem” (With Fire and Sword, Krzesimir Dębski), Quo vadis (Jan A. P.
